The Charles Wallace India Trust is a UK charity and a grant-making Trust established in 1981. Our alumni, numbering over 3,300 people, come from all across India. We work in partnership with several UK institutions providing much needed opportunities for postgraduate study and research in the arts, heritage and humanities.

Explore Our Community
The Charles Wallace India Trust has made over 3,300 grants over the past four decades since it was established.
Several years ago a Facebook Group page was launched and there are now over 500 members.
We also have a growing presence on Instagram and X/Twitter where we highlight CWIT news and share opportunities.
The website, especially the Community pages and our social media presence will make it easier for all CWIT grantees to stay in touch with us, and with each other.
Each winter during the annual visit of the trustees to India, we try to organise alumni gatherings in different cities. If you are interested in attending one of these events please contact Sakshi Sharma at the British Council.
Alumni A-Z
We have gone back through the years to create a directory of CWIT scholars and will keep adding to this list each year. If you are a grantee but cannot find your name, please register your details here.
